The sapwood is nearly white and 5 cm wide. The heartwood goes from yellow to light golden brown and turns darker. The pores are rough, scattered and less numerous, so surface does not appear porous; Pore channels of all longitudinal areas are mostly straight serial. The direction of grain is predominantly straight, partly also with light irregular twist and mostly forms a weak shine-stripe. The texture is clearly striped, ragged flamy and matt polished effect. It is very decorative.
