Characteristics

The sapwood is yellowish-white to pink-grey and the heartwood is yellowish-brown to reddish brown and turns to a darker red brown. The pores are scattered, medium-sized to coarse and infrequent. The rays are only visible as fine reflections, which do not effect the overall surface look.
