The tree grows throughout Europe, in the Caucasus countries and in North Iran.
Characteristics
Beech Core is extracted from heartwood of the Beech trees, which are often older than 80 years. This red heart is constructed irregularly or cloudily in its intensity of color and form so that the veneer image develops a character full of spirits. This character is made special by the numerous clear wood rays, which appear as tangentially several millimetres high, reddish spindles (lines) and as equally high, laminar mirrors. Only a few selected trees are appropriate for veneer production.
