Characteristics
The sapwood and the heartwood are not clearly divided. The sapwood is a little lighter than the heartwood, which varies from pallid reddish brown to red- or yellow brown. The annual rings emerge as dark brown stripes. In structure, texture and general consistence is Coigue very irregular. The wood shrinks very little and is weather resistant.
